Procedure for Abstract Submission

Click here to submit your abstract(s). Please register for an account if you are a first-time user or sign in if you have previously registered for an account in the abstract submission portal. Please follow the instructions on the portal to complete the structured abstract submission process.

Submitted abstracts/short papers will be reviewed on a regular basis; early submission is highly encouraged to secure slots for oral presentations.

  • Participants wishing to share their research should express their interest by submitting either a short paper (4 pages) or an abstract (1 page) using the templates available on this Website. Either template can be used for either oral or poster presentation.

  • Structured abstracts and short papers can only be submitted via the online submission platform. Abstracts or short papers sent by email will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.

  • Each registered participant can have up to two submissions (independently of presentation form or submission template)

  • Please note, 4-page short papers are required for students applying for the Otto Hutzinger student award.

  • 4-page short papers are eligible for inclusion into the Organohalogen Compounds database by clicking the respective box in the submission form.

  • All abstracts or short papers need to be submitted by the presenting author. As a submitter, you must therefore be the presenter at the Symposium in September/October in Singapore (if selected). If you are unable or not planning to present yourself, please request the presenting author to submit the proposal.

  • All submissions must be made in English.

Important Information

  4. Please ensure that your abstract/short paper does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors. No corrections are possible after the submission deadline. The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted. No proofreading will be done, although some corrections may be requested by the reviewers.
